Non-Exempt SUMMARY As a Dairy/Frozen Clerk, you'll support the smooth operation of the dairy and frozen foods department by ensuring shelves are well-stocked, products are fresh, and storage areas remain clean and organized. You'll assist customers with product questions, follow food safety guidelines, and help maintain an inviting shopping environment. This entry-level role is vital to delivering excellent service and high-quality products to our customers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Stock, rotate, and organize dairy and frozen food items on shelves and in coolers/freezers. Monitor product freshness, remove expired items, and ensure proper storage temperatures. Maintain cleanliness and organization in storage and sales areas, including coolers and freezers. Assist in unloading and receiving deliveries; properly store and label incoming inventory. Follow proper food handling, safety, and sanitation procedures at all times. Support department merchandising by maintaining clean and visually appealing displays. Ensure price tags and signage are accurate and up to date. Assist customers in locating products and provide friendly, knowledgeable service. Communicate any product shortages, damages, or customer issues to department leadership. Follow all store policies and procedures, including those related to loss prevention and safety. Perform all other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, experience and/or ability required. Previous experience in grocery retail or a similar role is preferred but not required. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow directions. Friendly attitude and commitment to excellent customer service. Ability to work in cold environments (coolers and freezers) for extended periods. Basic math, reading, and communication skills. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Work in a grocery store environment, including refrigerated and frozen areas. May be exposed to varying temperatures and conditions while unloading or stocking products. May involve occasional outdoor work (e.g., receiving deliveries).

Frequent lifting, bending, stooping, and reaching. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly. Manual dexterity for stocking and using equipment.
