Job Description

Join our vibrant team as a Gallery Attendant and become a vital part of creating an engaging, welcoming environment for visitors. This dynamic role offers an exciting opportunity to combine your passion for arts, community engagement, and excellent customer service. You will ensure the smooth operation of our gallery space, provide exceptional guest experiences, support sales of glass by our local artists, and maintain the presentation and organization of the gallery space during our weekend hours. Schedule Saturdays:
Open before 10 am, close at 5 pm
Sundays:
Open before noon, close at 4 pm •Flexibility for some weekday hours preferred Responsibilities Open and close the gallery according to established standard procedures. Remain attentive to the gallery floor and greet visitors promptly. Assist customers with questions, pickups and purchases. Maintain cleanliness, organization, and visual presentation of the gallery and shipping area. Maintain general knowledge of gallery inventory. Answer incoming calls, provide accurate information to customers and transfer as needed. Ensure purchased items are packaged safely for customers according to internal procedures. Assist with customer pickups and verify orders before releasing items. Notify staff if items require follow-up or additional processing. Assist with basic setup or reset of gallery spaces for weekend demos or events. Other related duties as assigned. Qualifications Strong organizational and communication skills Comfortable interacting with the public in a professional and friendly manner. Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks. Comfortable using email, POS systems, and basic computer tools. Able to follow procedures independently and communicate issues clearly. Interest in art, glass, or gallery environments is a plus. Physical & Work Environment Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods. Ability to climb ladders and operate equipment. Ability to lift 10+ lbs. Ability to move and package fragile items carefully. Comfortable working in a gallery, shipping, studio, and office setting.
Pay:
$17.00 - $19.00 per hour
