Baisch & Skinner is a wholesale floral distributor based in St. Louis, MO with six branch store locations throughout the Midwest. Importers of fresh cut flowers, permanent botanicals, decoratives, glassware, and floral supplies, Baisch & Skinner is a business-to-business distributor that serves the floral, design, and hospitality industries.

Job Summary:

The Marketplace Stocker supports the daily operations of our wholesale marketplace This position is responsible for maintaining well-organized, fully stocked, and visually appealing sales areas. Duties include receiving merchandise, replenishing inventory, and ensuring products are displayed neatly and accurately. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable in a fast-paced, team-focused environment.

Responsibilities:

• Receive incoming merchandise and verify accuracy against packing lists.
• Enter checked-in merchandise into NetSuite and assign to correct bin locations.
• Open, unpack, and distribute merchandise promptly to the appropriate sales floor area.
• Stock shelves with new or transferred inventory.
• Update or replace price tags and bin labels as needed.
• Clean and maintain display cases, shelves, and aisles.
• Assist customers by answering questions, offering product information and carrying out product.
• Perform inventory counts for assigned bins as directed by Market Place Manager.
• Help order pullers locate products needed for orders.
• Notify the manager of out-of-stock items or products needing replenishment.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Previous retail, warehouse, receiving or stocking experience preferred but not required.
• Strong computer skills required including proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
• Excellent written and oral communication skills are essential for professional phone and personal contacts
• Demonstrated customer service focus, with professional demeanor and appearance
• Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

• Requires moderate physical activity including lifting, walking, standing for extended periods and ability to lift, load, and unload and move products weighing up to 40 lbs.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time
• Indoor warehouse setting with exposure to seasonal décor and inventory.
• Occasional ladder use to access upper shelving.
• Team-oriented atmosphere with emphasis on communication especially during busy seasons and showroom resets.
• Some weekends or extended hours required during high-volume periods such as holidays or market events.
