Assistant Store Lead Job Summary:
The Stocker Team Lead is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations related to merchandising and stocking, ensuring a seamlessly executed operation and the delivery of an exceptional customer experience. This role includes providing direction to stockers through goal setting, task assignment, training, and performance monitoring. Furthermore, the Stocker Team Lead is accountable for consistently "Impacting Lives Always" and for cultivating a work environment where employees are also empowered to "Impact Lives Always."
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Oversees the daily workflow of the Stocking team. Develops and implements weekly schedules for stocking personnel, ensuring adherence to business needs and budgetary guidelines. Manages the full lifecycle of staffing, including recruitment, interviewing, hiring, and the onboarding of new employees. Delivers constructive and timely performance evaluations. Administers disciplinary actions and terminations in strict compliance with company policy. Provides comprehensive training and ongoing support to all subordinate personnel. Directs and supervises employees engaged in stocking, inventory management, and customer service operations. Performs all other related duties as assigned.
Other Job Responsibilities:
Leads the Stocking Team to achieve operational excellence. Provides assistance to all Departments and Department Managers regarding freight and stocking issues. Performs work activities of subordinates, including but not limited to stocking, cleaning, and organizing. Assists with product resets. Maintains accurate record keeping. Sorts received merchandise for placement on shelves by the Stocking Team. Inspects delivered merchandise and reports any damaged goods. Dusts and faces sales floor shelving as necessary. Stocks store shelving accurately utilizing provided applications. Assists with customer loadouts. Maintains and organizes storage areas such as the back room, outbuildings, covered racking, and the lot behind the store, including back parking lot storage of palleted goods. Plans and executes end cap and pallet displays. Ensures a safe work environment for all customers and employees. Adheres to health and safety regulations and promotes a culture of safety. Performs other duties as required.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Robust analytical and complex problem-solving capabilities. Strong supervisory and leadership acumen. The capacity to effectively prioritize tasks and delegate responsibilities as necessary. The ability to perform effectively in a dynamic and occasionally high-pressure professional setting. Proficiency with the Google suite of products, Microsoft Suite, or comparable software, with the capability to assimilate other company-specific applications. A solid foundation in fundamental mathematical principles.
Education and Experience Requirements:
A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Previous leadership experience is mandatory. Availability for a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, is essential. General knowledge of hardware and outdoor power equipment is preferred. Current forklift certification is preferred; however, the successful candidate must obtain forklift certification within one month of the date of hire. (Company will provide)
Physical Requirements:
The role necessitates extended durations of standing, walking, bending, pushing, pulling, and lifting. The ability to lift up to 50 pounds periodically is required. This position involves working both indoors and outdoors, subject to various weather conditions.
