A Produce Clerk provides customer satisfaction by making customers feel welcome and by giving prompt, courteous assistance in a grocery store environment. A Produce Clerk provides safe, efficient labor unloading and storing merchandise and supplies by lifting and carrying or by operating forklifts or pallet jacks. Cases of merchandise are opened using case cutters, trimmed using knives, may be packaged using bag sealers or wrapping machine and sometimes priced using price labelers or scales. Produce clerk keeps merchandise in the display area properly stocked. A Produce Clerk cleans, sweeps, mops, operates the baler and disposes of trash. Other duties may be assigned.
