Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Produce Management professional to join our retail team. In this role, you will support the management of produce department operations, ensuring efficient inventory control, excellent customer service, and smooth daily store functions. Responsibilities Assist in managing the produce department's inventory levels, stock rotation, and ordering processes to ensure freshness and availability. Support the supervision of staff, including training new employees and overseeing daily shift activities. Maintain accurate pricing, signage, and merchandising standards to enhance product presentation. Ensure compliance with safety standards, sanitation regulations, and store policies. Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly. Assist with cash handling procedures, POS (Point of Sale) system operations, and cashiering duties. Collaborate with management on purchasing decisions, inventory management, and operational improvements. Requirements Previous supervisory or assistant management experience in a retail or grocery store environment. Strong knowledge of inventory management, merchandising, and retail sales operations. Excellent communication skills in both bilingual/multilingual contexts preferred. Proficiency with POS systems, basic math skills, and cash handling procedures. Demonstrated leadership ability with experience supervising teams and managing shifts. Familiarity with grocery store product knowledge and operational management practices. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and time management capabilities. Ability to perform basic bookkeeping tasks related to inventory control and sales reconciliation. Customer service orientation with phone etiquette proficiency. Experience in retail industry sales team management is highly desirable.
