In this vital role, you will be responsible for stocking shelves, managing inventory, and maintaining a clean and safe shopping environment. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will help deliver an exceptional shopping experience for our customers while supporting efficient store operations. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your retail and warehouse skills in a fast-paced, friendly environment. Duties Stock shelves with grocery products, produce, and other merchandise, ensuring items are properly labeled and organized for easy customer access Operate inventory control systems and RF scanners to track stock levels accurately and facilitate replenishment processes Use material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts safely to load, unload, and move heavy items within the warehouse or storage areas Assist with shipping and receiving activities by loading and unloading deliveries efficiently while adhering to safe lifting practices Maintain cleanliness of the store, including cleaning shelves, packaging areas, and workspaces to uphold health and safety standards Support inventory management by conducting regular stock counts, updating records, and identifying discrepancies or damaged goods Provide excellent customer service by answering questions about product locations, store layout, or product features in multiple languages if applicable Qualifications Previous experience in retail stores or warehouse operations is highly desirable Familiarity with inventory management systems, RF scanners, pallet jacks, forklifts, and shipping & receiving procedures Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting while following safe lifting practices Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in stocking and merchandising products Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customers Basic math skills for retail math calculations such as counting stock or processing transactions Knowledge of grocery store products, produce handling, and retail sales practices is preferred Demonstrated ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment This role offers an engaging opportunity to grow your skills in retail operations while contributing to a positive shopping experience.
