Grocery stocker

Assists with ordering, receiving, stocking and display of grocery product, maintains department cleanliness, and provides outstanding customer service.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Greets, assists, and prioritizes customer needs above all. Orders product as requested, when applicable. Receives product deliveries, ensuring order and invoice accuracy. Stamps invoices correctly. Stocks rotates, merchandises and faces product according to department procedure. Maintains back-stock areas according to department standards. Trains other staff as needed. Assists in other departments as needed. Performs other duties as assigned to meet business needs.

Adheres to all guidelines around product recommendation and information. Assists in any other departments as needed. Resolves conflicts respectfully and in a timely manner, ask for assistance from appropriate supervisor as needed. Participates actively in department team and all-staff meetings. Closing shifts report to M.O.D. for department check out prior to clocking out.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to read and interpret documents such as department manual. Ability to prioritize work tasks, multi-task, and maintain focus. Ability to communicate effectively with customers.
