Job Title:
Stockroom Material Handler Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Stockroom Material Handler to efficiently receive, store, and issue stockroom materials while maintaining accurate inventory records. The role requires meticulous attention to detail in part number identification, quantity, and location. Responsibilities Receive inventory into stock, verify quantity, and assign inventory location. Handle materials safely using prescribed methods, including ESD electrical requirements and safety equipment. Issue parts to kits or fill stores requisitions, ensuring accuracy in quantity and part number. Maintain Min/Max supply part inventory. Keep stockroom facilities neat and orderly. Perform cycle count inventory verification as needed. Move or arrange transport of materials between departments as required. Conduct yearly physical inventory for all stockroom inventory. Essential Skills High School Diploma or GED 5+ years of experience in a stockroom environment Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Ability to read and understand documents like kit pulls, stores requisitions, computer reports, and procedure manuals. Effective communication skills with other employees. Additional Skills & Qualifications Proficiency in ERP software concepts, including electronic scanning and inventory transactions. Ability to lift 50lbs overhead and perform frequent bending, squatting, reaching, and climbing ladders while handling heavy materials. Why Work Here? Work Environment Work hours are from 7:30am to 3:30pm, with tasks involving computer operation, cycle counts, and regular physical activity including lifting and moving materials. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Plainview, NY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $24.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
