Stock Clerk

Job Description:

Schonbek, part of the WAC Group, is hiring a full-time Stock Clerk in Plattsburgh, NY. This role reports directly to the Warehouse Supervisor and involves selecting and transporting materials and supplies to designated work areas to support ongoing production requirements.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

Must read and comprehend blueprints, routings, pick lists, bills of materials, and other pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Distribute parts by use of appropriate hand tools, documentation, and equipment (scanners, scales, pallet jacks, ladders, carts, and other manual material handling equipment). Must operate a forklift. Willing and able to learn all areas of the Warehouse to include shipping and receiving. Supply production with the necessary inventory and kitted work orders. Ensures a quality product by identifying issues with finished, manufactured, and purchased parts. Obtains necessary information and daily work schedule by referencing the computer system. Participates in inventory activities to include cycle counting and year-end inventory. Continues to improve processes and procedures, improve inventory accuracy, and decrease inefficiencies. Ensures an organized, clean, and safe workspace by understanding and applying the use of the 6S guidelines. May be assigned to other areas within the organization as the need arises. Performance expectations to be met during the probationary period and beyond.

Requirements:

High School Diploma or Equivalency Preferred Prior Experience a Plus Ability to effectively use a scanner. Able to lift 50lbs. Must be able to stand and walk the majority of the shift. Ability to work effectively with team members and management. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Must be reliable. We recognize people as our most valuable asset.
