Job Description

Overview St. Catherine of Siena Hospital, affiliated with Catholic Health, is located in Smithtown, NY on a beautiful 110-acre campus that includes a 290-bed community hospital, a 240-bed nursing and rehabilitation facility, and a 60,000 sq. ft. medical office building. SCS is engaged with error reduction initiatives and on a journey to High Reliability. We have been recognized in superior care in stroke and sepsis patients, have also recently attained Center of Excellence in Bariatric Surgery, and have been designated as the only Baby Friendly hospital in Suffolk County. Job Details As the Storeroom Supervisor, you will oversee the inventory, receiving, and replenishment of hospital supplies for St. Catherine of Siena Hospital. This role manages general stores personnel, coordinates deliveries, handles vendor relations, and serves as a key liaison to the CHS Supply Chain.
Key Responsibilities Team Leadership:
Supervise, schedule, and allocate tasks for General Stores and Receiving staff.
Inventory & Replenishment:
Oversee all inventory control, product replenishment, and receiving functions to ensure accurate delivery to departments.
Logistics Coordination:
Partner with Departmental Managers to coordinate efficient internal delivery schedules.
System Maintenance:
Maintain data accuracy within the Material Management Information System; investigate and resolve file discrepancies.
Vendor & Supply Chain Liaison:
Act as the primary link between the facility and CHS Supply Chain; resolve vendor order or delivery issues and facilitate product returns/repairs.
Compliance:
Maintain a safe, clean work environment in accordance with healthcare regulations.
Requirements Experience:
Minimum 3 years of healthcare materials management experience.
Education:
Associate degree in business or a related field required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in MS Excel and Word; experience with Lawson supply chain software is highly preferred. Posted Salary Range USD $31.00 - USD $38.00 /Hr.
