In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory levels, stocking shelves efficiently, and providing exceptional customer service. Duties Stock shelves with fresh kosher products, including produce, packaged goods, and specialty items, ensuring products are properly rotated and labeled. Operate RF scanners and other inventory management tools to track stock levels accurately and update records in real-time. Load and unload shipments using pallet jacks, forklifts (if certified), and other warehouse equipment to ensure timely restocking of merchandise. Maintain organized storage areas by implementing effective inventory control practices and conducting regular stock audits. Assist with shipping and receiving processes, verifying incoming shipments against purchase orders and preparing outgoing orders for delivery or customer pickup. Support merchandising efforts by arranging products attractively on shelves and displays to maximize sales potential. Perform routine cleaning, maintenance, and safety checks of storage areas to uphold hygiene standards and operational efficiency. Provide excellent customer service by answering questions about products, assisting with purchases at the cashier station, and ensuring a positive shopping experience. Collaborate with team members across departments such as retail sales, packaging, and stocking to meet store goals. Communicate effectively with colleagues using organizational skills to coordinate tasks efficiently in a multilingual environment. Experience Previous warehouse or retail experience preferred, especially within grocery stores or specialty food markets. Familiarity with inventory management systems and RF scanner technology is highly advantageous. Experience operating forklifts or pallet jacks is a plus; certification is preferred but not required for all applicants. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during stocking or unloading activities. Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail for inventory control and product placement. Excellent communication skills; bilingual abilities are highly valued to assist diverse customer needs. Knowledge of kosher food standards and handling practices is beneficial but not mandatory; training will be provided.
