Job Description

Overview Foundation Stocks is looking for an Assistant Custom Finishing Specialist (HVLP Paint & Composite Stocks) to join our finishing department. Responsibilities include sanding, surface preparation, masking, HVLP paint application, color matching, custom finishes, quality inspection, touch-up work, and final finishing of premium precision rifle stocks. Applicants should possess strong attention to detail, pride in craftsmanship, and the ability to produce consistent, high-quality cosmetic finishes. Artistic ability and an eye for color, texture, and finish quality are highly valued. Duties Prepare surfaces for finishing by cleaning, sanding, and masking using hand tools and power tools to ensure optimal paint adhesion. Operate HVLP spray systems to apply high-quality finishes on composite stocks and other custom components with precision and consistency. Conduct auto body repair techniques when necessary to correct surface imperfections before painting. Perform routine maintenance on painting equipment, including airless paint sprayers, to maintain optimal performance. Requirements Proven experience with industrial or auto body painting techniques, including airless paint spraying and auto painting. Familiarity with materials handling procedures within a warehouse or manufacturing setting. Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and process adjustments. Strong understanding of construction painting methods and materials used in composite stock finishing. This role is ideal for motivated individuals eager to refine their craft in a collaborative environment that values safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
Pay:
$18.00 - $25.00 per hour
