Job Description

Are you a cheese enthusiast ready to share your passion with Portland? Caseus Diem is seeking an enthusiastic Cheese Monger to join our team for 8-16 hours per week to start. Saturdays 10:50am-7:20pm are required. More hours will become available during the holiday season (November-December). If you love talking about artisanal cheeses, building customer relationships, and creating memorable experiences, we want to hear from you!
About Caseus Diem:
We're a specialty cheese shop dedicated to curating exceptional cheeses from around the world. Our mission is to educate and delight cheese lovers while fostering a welcoming community space where people can discover their next favorite cheese.
What You'll Do:
Assist customers in selecting the perfect cheese based on their preferences and occasionsProvide knowledgeable recommendations and share the stories behind our productsMaintain cheese displays and ensure proper storage and handlingProcess transactions and manage point-of-sale operationsKeep the shop clean, organized, and invitingDevelop relationships with regular customers and build community connections
Perks:
This is a tipped position which can add $1-$5 per hour to pay15% off any product in storeSe Division St. Business District discountsFree cheese plate and a n/a drink each shift
