Job Title:
Stocking Specialist $17/HR 1st shift: 7:00am-3:30pm M-F Job Description The Stocking Specialist ensures the orderly and timely flow of component parts, assemblies, and subassemblies to meet production schedules. This role is responsible for issuing materials to production operations, handling large and heavy workpieces to support manufacturing processes, and maintaining effective inventory control over all incoming and stocked materials, equipment, and supplies. The Stocking Specialist also performs regular area cleanup and safety-related duties and is capable of performing all essential functions independently when needed. Responsibilities Ensure the orderly and timely flow of component parts, assemblies, and subassemblies to meet production schedule requirements. Issue materials accurately and efficiently to production operations. Handle large and heavy workpieces safely to support operations such as shearing, punching, drilling, bending, and deburring. Maintain effective inventory control over all incoming and stocked materials, equipment, and supplies. Perform routine area cleanup and follow safety-related procedures to maintain a clean and safe work environment. Use computer systems to perform routine tasks such as data entry, inventory updates, and order processing. Communicate clearly with coworkers, planners, material managers, and internal customers to support team goals. Identify material shortages and participate in problem-solving activities to resolve issues. Document and distribute scrap and salvage parts in accordance with established procedures. Prepare and kit daily or weekly assembly picks as required by the job function. Follow established procedures on routine work and seek specific instructions only for new assignments. Support production, warehouse, and inventory control activities as needed, including shipping, receiving, stocking, order fulfillment, production control, and cycle counts. Essential Skills Proficiency with computers to handle routine tasks and data entry. Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with coworkers, planners, material managers, and internal customers, both verbally and in writing. General knowledge of material planning, material control, manufacturing environments, and inventory methodology. Strong general organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. Ability to collaborate as a team player and work toward shared goals. Ability to work with minimal supervision and perform essential functions independently when needed. Comfortable lifting up to 30 pounds. Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time. Ability to repeatedly climb, bend, reach, stoop, kneel, and stretch as required by the job. Ability and willingness to work at various heights using a ladder. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in production or manufacturing environments. Previous warehouse experience. Experience with inventory control and cycle counting. shipping and receiving operations. Experience with production control processes. Experience in stocking and order fulfillment. Demonstrated flexibility and willingness to learn new tasks and systems. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of State College, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
