Loader / Customer Carryout Associate Position Summary The Loader Associate assists customers with loading and transporting purchased merchandise while providing outstanding customer service. This position helps maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the store and grounds, performs cart retrieval, and assists with the assembly of merchandise such as grills and patio furniture. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Greet customers promptly and provide friendly, helpful customer service. Assist customers with loading purchases into vehicles safely and efficiently. Transport bagged goods, bulk items, and other merchandise for customers as needed. Retrieve shopping carts from parking lot areas and return them to designated locations. Maintain cleanliness of store entrances, sidewalks, parking areas, and other outdoor spaces. Clean restrooms and other assigned areas of the store. Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste properly. Assemble grills, patio furniture, and other merchandise according to manufacturer instructions. Assist with stocking, organizing, and moving merchandise as directed. Follow all company safety procedures and use proper lifting techniques. Perform other duties as assigned by management. Qualifications and Requirements Must be at least 16 years of age. Ability to provide excellent customer service in a fast-paced retail environment. Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and perform physical labor for extended periods. Ability to safely lift and carry 50 pounds or more on a regular basis. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Must be authorized to work in the United States. Physical Requirements Frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and carrying. Regular lifting of merchandise weighing 50 pounds or more. Ability to work outdoors in heat, cold, rain, and other weather conditions. Ability to safely operate carts, dollies, and other material-handling equipment.
