Temporary work from6/19/26 - 1/25/27. Workers will perform duties associated with the employer's summer through early winter livestock production cycle, which focuses on the management, feeding, conditioning, and handling of growing cattle, including calves that have progressed beyond early-life care stages. Any reference to calves during this period is limited to animals that have already completed initial neonatal and early-life care associated with the winter and early-spring calving cycle. During this period, livestock are maintained in group settings and require increased labor for feed management, environmental monitoring, pen maintenance, and facility upkeep due to seasonal weather patterns and operational demands. These duties are distinct from and unrelated to the winter and early-spring calving cycle. Workers will assist with the movement and organization of livestock between pens, feeding areas, and designated locations to support efficient herd management and space utilization. Workers will observe livestock for general health, behavior, and condition, and report any signs of illness, injury, or stress to supervisors. Duties include feed distribution and bunk management, delivering feed rations, monitoring consumption, and maintaining clean feeding areas. Workers may operate basic agricultural equipment such as tractors or loaders in a non-specialized manner. Workers will inspect, clean, and maintain water systems to ensure continuous access, especially during periods of elevated temperatures, and will assist in monitoring environmental conditions to reduce heat, dust, or weather-related stress. Workers will clean and maintain pens, alleys, and work areas, including manure removal and application of bedding to maintain dry and sanitary conditions, with increased frequency required during heat, precipitation, or colder weather. Workers will perform general facility maintenance, including repairing fences, gates, and infrastructure, and completing general labor tasks to support operations. Workers will also assist with routine livestock health and handling activities under supervision, including identifying animals needing attention, assisting with movement to treatment areas, handling livestock in chutes, and supporting administration of vaccinations or medications as directed. Workers do not diagnose conditions or determine treatments. Workers must be able to lift 50 lbs and perform physically demanding work in varying weather conditions, and must be available for extended or irregular hours as required by operational needs.
