Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Customer Service Associate / Cashier to join our retail team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for customers, providing excellent service while efficiently handling transactions. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, basic math proficiency, and experience with POS systems. Bilingual abilities and supervisory experience are a plus, as you may assist with product demos, merchandising, and stock management. This position offers an engaging environment where customer satisfaction and sales growth are prioritized. Duties Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional customer service throughout their shopping experience Operate POS systems accurately for cash handling, credit card transactions, and returns Maintain organized merchandise displays and ensure shelves are stocked appropriately Perform merchandising tasks including inventory checks and stock replenishment Handle phone inquiries professionally, providing information or directing calls as needed Manage cashier responsibilities including processing transactions efficiently and accurately Support sales goals through effective communication, suggestive selling, and upselling techniques Assist with general store duties such as cleaning work areas and ensuring a welcoming environment Qualifications Previous retail sales or cashiering experience preferred, especially in grocery or retail stores Proficiency with POS systems and basic math skills for cash handling and retail math calculations Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers courteously and professionally Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse customer needs stocking, and other store operations effectively Excellent phone etiquette for handling customer inquiries via phone or in person Reliable, responsible, with a positive attitude towards teamwork and customer service excellence
