Job Description
Overview Join our neighborhood grocery team as a Grocery Stock Clerk, where your energy and organizational skills will keep our grocery aisles stocked with high-quality produce and frozen items. In this vital role, you'll be the backbone of our inventory management, ensuring that our shelves are replenished efficiently and accurately. Your proactive approach will help deliver an exceptional shopping experience for our customers, while maintaining a clean, safe, and well-organized warehouse environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in retail operations, inventory control, and customer service within a fast-paced grocery setting. Responsibilities Receive, unload, and organize fresh produce and frozen food shipments using equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts Accurately scan items with RF scanners to update inventory records and ensure precise stock levels Maintain proper storage conditions for perishable goods, adhering to safety and quality standards Conduct regular inventory checks to identify stock discrepancies, damages, or expired products Assist in merchandising by stocking shelves neatly and ensuring product visibility for customers Support shipping and receiving processes by preparing orders for delivery or transfer within the store Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of storage areas to uphold hygiene standards and operational efficiency Provide excellent customer service by answering questions about product locations or availability in a friendly manner Collaborate with team members across departments to ensure smooth store operations Experience Prior warehouse experience or familiarity with grocery store operations is highly preferred but not required; training will be provided Experience using inventory management systems, RF scanners, pallet jacks, or forklifts is highly advantageous but not required Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in stock control and merchandising tasks Ability to perform heavy lifting safely for extended periods during stocking or unloading activities Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members and assist customers effectively Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments while maintaining safety standards This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to grow their retail expertise while contributing to a vibrant team dedicated to quality service.
