The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with strong drafting and technical skills that is able to draft prospectuses, filing statements, information circulars and agency/underwriting agreements, proactively respond to client requests under tight time constraints and have a strong background and experience applying securities laws and exchange rules to daily client needs. Experience in private M&A and taking a leadership role in preparing share purchase agreements and/or asset purchase agreements, will also be helpful in the consideration of any candidate. Qualified candidates must be motivated to learn and grow as a lawyer and be prepared to get out of their comfort zone. Qualified candidates must also be prepared to work in a collegial and pleasant atmosphere. Must be in good standing with the Law Society of British Columbia. Our Canadian Capital Markets & Securities team represents a spectrum of businesses as well as investment banks, private equity firms, and governmental entities across business sectors, including mining/natural resources, technology, industrial, health and wellness, food and beverage, and safety/security. We assist with public offerings, mergers and acquisitions, reverse takeovers, corporate restructurings and reorganizations, and qualifying transactions, as well as capital alterations and the preparation of documentation for related transactions. We also serve as trusted advisers to boards and special committees on issues relating to corporate governance, compliance, and reporting obligations. The expected annual base salary range for this position is $130,000 - $180,000 and is eligible for an annual, discretionary bonus. The offered salary will be determined based on factors such as job knowledge, skillset, experience, and internal and market equity.
