GROCERY CLERK / BUYER
(Part-time or Full-Time)- Join a creative team!
PART-TIME
position available for customer service at our registers and in those visiting in the store, and to daily stock and organize our inventory! For the right candidate, the position has the potential to lead to being a part of our buying team. We're a unique type of food business that's located in a beautifully rebuilt historic building on Wausau's "Main Street." Our grocery store is also located in one of the most beautiful workplaces in the city, it's a two-story space with lots of windows! The position has easy hours too, as early as 8:15 AM and as late as 6:15 PM (short hours on Sundays). We're looking for an enthusiastic, motivated, and responsible team-player to work in our Market for FT or PT Employment. We have a long-term home for you at Downtown Grocery where you can grow with us and grow your responsibilities!- Weekdays 6-10 hours, as early as 8:15 am, as late as 6:15 pm
- Saturday 6-10 hours, as early as 8:15 am, as late as 6:15 pm
- Sunday 5-7 hours, as early as 9:30 am, as late as 4:15 pm
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist customers with questions; run cash registers with accuracy and efficiency.
- Perform receiving/stocking tasks; ensure proper levels in each department.
- Ability to display merchandise appropriately, neatly, in an orderly manner.
- Re-stock, front, face, and rotate of all products.
- Keep shelves fully stocked and cleaned.
- Prioritize tasks, manage time appropriately, complete tasks by shifts end.
- Demonstrate an ability to understand and learn about the product selection.
- Answer telephone calls and use excellent phone etiquette.
- Follow applicable health sanitation procedures, adhere to safe work practices.
- Complete special projects and perform other functions.
- Be a team player, ask questions, be positive, and support your fellow employees!
