Job Summary:

As a Grocery Clerk at Broulim's, you'll be at the heart of our grocery department, responsible for ensuring our shelves are well-stocked, organized, and ready for our customers. From assisting with customer inquiries to restocking shelves and maintaining a clean and inviting store environment, you'll play a vital role in delivering a seamless and enjoyable shopping experience.

Examples of Duties:

Assist customers with locating and selecting grocery items. Ensure shelves are adequately stocked, neatly arranged, and fronted for a visually appealing display. Receive, inspect, and stock incoming grocery merchandise. Monitor and manage inventory levels, notifying management of any shortages. Provide excellent customer service, answering inquiries, and offering assistance. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the grocery department, including sweeping and mopping as needed. Assist in rotating perishable items to ensure freshness. Collaborate with team members to achieve department goals and contribute to a positive working environment.

Knowledge:

Familiarity with grocery products and their locations within the store. Basic knowledge of inventory management principles. Understanding of customer service principles.

Skills:

Excellent customer service and communication skills. Ability to operate a cash register and handle transactions accurately. Basic organizational skills for stocking and arranging products. Attention to detail in maintaining a clean and organized store environment.

Abilities:

Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate loads. Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and variable shifts. Adaptability to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in a grocery store or customer service role is advantageous. Basic math skills for handling cash transactions. Friendly and positive attitude with a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
