Job Description
Job Description We are seeking a detail-oriented Accessible Technology Coordinator to help ensure our online courses meet accessibility standards under Title II ADA and
WCAG 2.1 AA.
This entry-level role will focus on using provided tools to identify and remediate accessibility issues in course content. Training will be provided. Key Responsibilities Run accessibility checks in Canvas LMS using integrated tools (e.g., YuJa Panorama, Cidi Labs Design Plus Accessibility Checker). Apply simple fixes to documents and course content (e.g., adding alt text, adjusting headings, checking color contrast). Follow step-by-step remediation workflows provided by the team. Assist with captioning and video accessibility tasks in Kaltura. Maintain logs of completed tasks and report progress to the Director of Instructional Technology. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Educational Technology or a related field and one (1) year of related experience required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement. Required Skills Strong computer skills and ability to learn new platforms quickly. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint). Basic knowledge of Adobe Acrobat for PDF editing. Attention to detail and ability to follow structured processes. Preferred Skills Familiarity with Canvas LMS (or other learning platforms). Experience with video platforms (Kaltura or similar). Understanding of accessibility principles (training provided).
