Job Description

GEN‑TECH is a full‑service Industrial Power Generator company with operations across Arizona, Southern Nevada, Colorado, and New Mexico. For more than 35 years, we have delivered industry‑leading solutions including new equipment sales, rentals, service, parts, fueling, and technical training. As we continue to grow, we are seeking driven sales professionals to develop new prospects, expand customer relationships, and grow revenue within assigned territories. We are seeking a dynamic and driven individual as our New Equipment Sales Account Manager who is passionate about building relationships, solving customer challenges, and representing high‑quality power generation solutions. In this role, you will be at the forefront of expanding our market presence by identifying new business opportunities, cultivating strong client relationships, and driving revenue growth through strategic sales of cutting-edge equipment solutions. Your Key Responsibilities Will Be:
Sales Strategy & Business Development
  • Develop and execute effective go-to-market strategies to increase GEN-TECH's power generation equipment sales.
  • Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities through cold calling, networking, and site visits.
  • Expand territory potential by planning and organizing sales activities with minimal supervision.
  • Establish new equipment sales accounts with customers lacking existing relationships.
  • Maintain an active pipeline of opportunities to consistently meet or exceed sales objectives. Customer Relationship Management
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, consulting engineers, contractors, and key market influencers.
  • Understand customer needs, project requirements, and operational challenges to recommend cost-effective solutions.
  • Provide timely updates to customers regarding project status, proposals, and technical documentation.
  • Ensure high customer satisfaction through consultative, value-driven communication. Technical & Project Support
  • Interpret and analyze electrical drawings, technical specifications, and regulatory requirements.
  • Evaluate project scope and prepare accurate quotes and proposals.
  • Provide technical assistance and equipment knowledge to customers as needed.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate and timely submittals.
Requirements This role demands a rare balance of technical expertise, consultative sales skill, and business acumen—the ability to understand power generation systems and convert that knowledge into trusted, revenue‑producing customer relationships is absolutely critical. 5 years of Power Generation Sales or similar industry Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, preferred Proven experience complex and long-cycle sales environments.
  • Ability to r ead, interpret, and analyze technical drawings, specifications, and industry documentation.
