ASSOCIATE CONSULTANT, BIOMECHANICS
Position Summary MC Consultants is seeking an Associate Consultant in Biomechanics to join our forensic engineering team. This position is designed for individuals with foundational technical training and early career experience who are motivated to grow into a future expert role through hands on investigation, mentorship, and structured professional development . The Associate Consultant works under the guidance of Lead Expert and National Practice Leadership , supporting accident reconstruction analyses while developing technical, analytical, reporting, and communication skills. Location may vary across MC offices nationwide, with flexibility based on team needs and candidate location. At MC Consultants, we emphasize learning, teamwork, balance, and long-term career growth. This role is a prime opportunity to transition technical education into real world forensic consulting experience. Core Responsibilities Biomechanical and Injury Analysis Support Assist with biomechanical analyses related to injury causation and human response to forces Review and summarize medical records, diagnostic studies, and discovery materials Support evaluations of occupant kinematics, loading conditions, and injury mechanisms Conduct literature reviews related to biomechanics and injury tolerance Reporting and Communication Assist with preparation of technical exhibits and report sections Learn to communicate biomechanical concepts clearly and accurately Mentorship and Development Train under senior biomechanics experts Participate in internal training and technical reviews Progress toward increasing analytical responsibility and expert development Geographic and Travel Scope Location may vary within the United States depending on MC office needs Travel required for inspections and training, typically moderate and planned with mentorship in mind Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Biomechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline Strong interest in injury biomechanics and forensic consulting Analytical and organizational skills Preferred Qualifications Master's degree or PhD coursework in biomechanics or related field Coursework or experience in injury biomechanics or human tolerance Research or academic experience related to biomechanics Why MC Consultants MC Consultants is committed to developing the next generation of forensic experts.
