Job Description

Job Description Overview Our client is seeking a motivated and technically inclined Field Technology Support Technician to support critical environmental monitoring and asset tracking systems across healthcare facilities throughout Northern California. This individual will play a key role in maintaining refrigeration monitoring systems, RTLS technologies, and asset tracking solutions that support the storage and protection of pharmaceutical products and medical equipment. This position is ideal for someone with 1-2 years of technical support experience who enjoys working independently in the field, troubleshooting technology issues, and collaborating with healthcare operations teams. The role will support an enterprise-wide initiative to replace legacy monitoring platforms with new technology solutions while maintaining day-to-day operational support. Key Responsibilities
  •  Support and maintain environmental monitoring systems used to monitor refrigeration units, freezers, and coolers containing pharmaceutical products and other temperature-sensitive materials.
  •  Replace batteries and maintain asset tags across multiple healthcare facilities.
  •  Perform troubleshooting, diagnostics, and technical repairs on hardware and devices that fall outside standard operating parameters.
  •  Support RTLS (Real-Time Location Services) and asset tracking technologies.
  •  Assist with testing and deployment activities associated with a new enterprise monitoring platform replacing legacy technology.
  •  Conduct on-site system validation and functionality testing.
  •  Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, repairs, troubleshooting efforts, and asset inventories.
  •  Partner with facility teams and project stakeholders to ensure optimal system performance.
  •  Manage travel schedules and site visits across approximately a dozen facilities throughout Northern California.
  •  Complete weekly status reporting, administrative tasks, expense reporting, and leadership updates.

  •  Bachelor's Degree
  •  1-2 years of IT, technical support, field services, or desktop support experience
  •  Experience supporting Windows operating systems
  •  Basic understanding of networking concepts
  •  Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  •  Excellent customer service and communication abilities
  •  Ability to manage work independently with minimal supervision
  •  Valid driver's license and ability to travel extensively throughout Northern California
  •  Experience with environmental monitoring systems
  •  Experience supporting refrigeration monitoring technologies
  •  Knowledge of asset tracking or RTLS platforms
  •  Healthcare, pharmaceutical, life sciences, or medical device experience
  •  Exposure to regulated environments and compliance requirements
  • Preferred Qualifications
  •  Understanding of SOX compliance requirements
  •  Familiarity with NIST security frameworks
  •  Experience with temperature monitoring software such as WarePoint or similar platforms
