JOB SUMMARY
The Assessment Coordinator for Adaptive Technology Services plays a key role in evaluating and implementing adaptive technology solutions to enhance accessibility and support individuals with diverse needs. This position involves assessing the technological requirements of clients, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and ensuring the effective integration of adaptive technologies into their daily lives. The Assessment Coordinator will contribute to creating an inclusive environment by promoting technology solutions that empower individuals with disabilities. The Assessor position requires a strong understanding of relevant technologies and the ability to learn new tools quickly. When working with clients, it is essential to identify and apply appropriate technologies that can effectively address and overcome barriers related to their individual abilities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
We are seeking a Assessment Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in managing and optimizing our technology resources to support the organization's operations effectively. Responsible for installing the recommend technologies within the client's home. Having an understanding of basic power tools. Ability to learn new equipment. Conduct thorough assessments of clients' adaptive technology needs, considering their specific abilities, challenges, and goals. Collaborate with clients, caregivers, and relevant professionals to gather information and understand the scope of technological support required. Research and stay abreast of the latest adaptive technologies, software, and hardware solutions. Evaluate the compatibility and effectiveness of various adaptive technologies based on individual client needs. Develop individualized technology plans based on assessment findings, ensuring that recommendations align with clients' unique requirements and goals. Collaborate with the client and relevant stakeholders to establish realistic expectations and timelines for technology implementation. Provide training sessions to clients, caregivers, and support staff on the effective use of adaptive technologies. Create user-friendly guides and materials to support ongoing learning and utilization of adaptive tools. Work closely with interdisciplinary teams, including occupational therapists, educators, and healthcare professionals, to integrate adaptive technology seamlessly into clients' lives. Maintain clear and open communication with clients, ensuring they are informed about available technologies and potential upgrades. Offer ongoing technical support to clients, troubleshooting issues, and facilitating repairs or replacements as needed. Collaborate with IT professionals or vendors to address technical challenges beyond the scope of immediate support. Keep detailed records of client assessments, technology plans, and progress. Generate regular reports for internal and external stakeholders, highlighting successes and areas for improvement.
QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma Experience in conducting assessments and implementing adaptive technology solutions. Knowledge of a variety of adaptive technologies, including software, hardware, and assistive devices. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to adapt to evolving technology trends and industry advancements. Knowing how to safely operate basic power tools.
WORKING CONDITIONS
The position may require travel to client locations or various facilities. Flexibility in working hours to accommodate client schedules and needs.
