The Technician will conduct technical activities according to protocols. He / she receives daily tasking assignments, under moderate supervision and functions as a member of work team by assisting others and promoting a team-oriented work environment. This role performs all work in conformance with applicable regulations in a safe manner and will also work within the laboratory or processing environment. Duties & Responsibilities Works within established procedures with a limit degree of supervision within specified timeframe, participates assists in the execution of non-routine work; Applies technical knowledge and skills to complete assigned work within own area Is skilled in own area; May use/handle potentially dangerous chemicals/materials and/or work with potentially hazardous industrial equipment Recognizes problems and uses existing procedures to assess solutions Able to identify improvement opportunities to processes / operations Learns team effectiveness skills within context of own team Communicates own work orally and in writing; Provides input to supervisor for internal reports or external publications/patents Reports and treats documentation/data with a high level of integrity and ethics Complies with applicable regulations, performing all work in a safe manner; Maintains proper records in accordance with SOPs and policies; Identifies regulatory and safety concerns to supervisors and team members Requirements Associate´s Degree in relevant scientific/technical discipline and 0 - 2 years relevant experience or high school education (or equivalent) plus 3-4 years relevant experience. Demonstrates knowledge of technical area Ability to troubleshoot Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to operate laboratory/process equipment and apparatus Ability to learn new technical skills and concepts Concise and accurate reporting of technical data and information Appropriate level of understanding of applicable regulation May require ability to push, pull, lift and carry objects up to 50 lbs. May require ability to wear a Respirator. Compensation Data
