We're looking for a Bioprocess Associate 1 - Downstream to join our manufacturing team and support production of AB126, our lead therapeutic exosome candidate. Aruna Bio | Manufacturing / Bioprocessing As a Downstream Bioprocess Associate I you'll be executing established downstream bioprocess workflows and purifications in a cGMP environment. We need someone with solid hands-on lab skills, disciplined documentation habits, and the ability to work independently within defined protocols. Core Responsibilities
  • Perform downstream bioprocess workflows, including TFF systems, chromatography, and fill-finish, per established protocols and cGMP standards
  • Support and occasionally participate in upstream bioprocess workflows via basic supply preparations, formulations, and documentation for mammalian cell culture
  • Follow aseptic technique practices to preserve both research and clinical material integrity
  • Operate production equipment (pipettes, balances, biosafety cabinets, incubators, autoclaves, microscopes, centrifuges) accurately and safely
  • Maintain safety standards and lab upkeep (includes routine disinfections of bioprocessing spaces and certain equipment)
  • Complete manual, cGDP-compliant documentation in batch records and forms with a high degree of accuracy
  • Routine database updates/maintenance for downstream performance data (Excel, JMP, Prism, etc.) Required Skills and Experience
  • Associate degree with a minimum of 2 years of experience in a relevant field (e.g. bioprocessing, chemistry, biology); or a bachelor's degree in a relevant field plus 1 year of relevant research experience
  • Previous academic experience in TFF purification.
  • Working knowledge of basic chemical and biological safety procedures in a lab setting
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and written and oral communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail, especially pertaining to data records
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with limited supervision, showing personal accountability
  • Proficiency with primary Microsoft Office Suite tools (Outlook, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Ability to work cooperatively in a controlled environment (ISO 5, 7, and 8) wearing clean room PPE for extended periods of time
  • Willingness to participate in a rotating weekend work and holiday schedule to perform primary cell culture maintenance tasks
  • Hands-on industrial experience in a cGMP-compliant environment (Preferred)
