Technology Transfer Intern - KUCTC

Utilize sources of information to determine outreach candidates for KU Faculty for potential invention disclosures. Establish contact and discuss with KU faculty to scout for new and upcoming inventions. Review and participate in KU Faculty meetings to preliminarily review disclosures. Perform technology triages, which focus on all facets of the invention including: evaluating the technological aspects of the invention, the market for the potential product and the intellectual property landscape. Present technology triages at internal KUCTC meetings. Participate in KU Faculty meetings to review the triage and responses, providing support in decision making for intellectual property protection strategies. Develop Non-Confidential Summaries for technologies for marketing. Develop and evaluate company contact lists that target relevant potential licensees. Participate in license agreement negotiation meetings with companies. Aid in Terms Sheet Drafting Aid in license agreement drafting. Working on or having attained a degree in relevant field. Bachelors degree in a technical, legal, business, or other relevant field. 1 year experience in a technical, legal, business, or other relevant field. Communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
