Job Description

The BOM Coordinator I is an entry-level position that, under the close direction and supervision of Engineering Managers and/or peers, assists with modifying existing BOMs and setting up new BOMs for all Frymaster and Merco models. This position is technical and hands-on in nature. Reporting directly to the Mgr. Engineering Documentation, this position is based in Shreveport, LA•. This position is open to candidates who are authorized to work and reside in the following states: Alabama, Arkansas, Arizona, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Washington, West Virginia, Wisconsin or Wyoming. Due to payroll, tax, and employment law requirements, applicants must be located in one of these states at the time of hire.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Uses ERP systems to modify or create Bills of Materials for Frymaster fryers and Merco products. Keeps accurate files and follows procedures for processing Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and Engineering Change Notices (ECNs). Creates end items for special orders requested by Customer Service. Troubleshoots BOM errors and omissions and corrects them in the AS400. Provides product information, as needed (e.g. Sales, Marketing, Tech. Services, etc.) Participates in and contributes to cross-functional teams. Makes appropriate decisions using decision support tools and critical thinking. Clearly communicates the results and underlying risks involved with their efforts. Performs other relevant duties or tasks assigned.
Education & Experience:
High School Diploma / Technical Diploma or Certificate / Associate Degree 0-1 year experience
Skills & Abilities:
Information Architecture & Categorization Skills Advanced computer keyboarding skills and various Microsoft Office programs Demonstrate a working knowledge of the AS400. Have basic knowledge of electric and gas functions of a fryer. Provide clear and concise verbal & written communication. Perform work to the required level of accuracy. Ability to wear all Personal Protective Equipment (P.P.E.) required, by company policy, for the job being performed.
Working Conditions:
Office, Lab, Workshop May occasionally enter the manufacturing area where PPE is required
