11341 About the Role As Associate Director, Statistical Programming at BioNTech, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and advancing our statistical programming ecosystem. Reporting to the Director of CoE Statistical Programming Technology Solutions, you will lead initiatives that enhance efficiency, quality, and consistency across programming deliverables. Your expertise will contribute to our mission of revolutionizing immunotherapy and vaccines by ensuring robust, scalable, and compliant solutions for clinical trial analysis and reporting. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will drive innovation in statistical programming workflows while mentoring others in advanced techniques and best practices. Your Contribution Support the implementation of a global statistical programming ecosystem aligned with company goals and regulatory requirements Lead or co-lead initiatives to improve efficiency and standardize programming deliverables across studies and therapeutic areas Design, implement, and maintain statistical computing environments (SAS/R/Python/cloud-based platforms) to support clinical trial needs Develop reusable macros, scripts, and automation pipelines for SDTM/ADaM dataset generation and TLF production Evaluate emerging technologies (e.g., AI/ML models, cloud-native tools) for integration into statistical programming workflows Collaborate with IT infrastructure teams on environment optimization and incident resolution Establish governance frameworks for code quality, documentation, version control, and reuse of standardized components Provide technical leadership and mentorship to programmers on advanced techniques and tools A Good Match Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, or related discipline; advanced degree (MSc/PhD) preferred 10+ years of experience (8+ years with advanced degree) in statistical programming within the pharmaceutical/biotechnology/CRO industry Expertise in clinical trial data analysis/reporting for regulatory submissions (e.g., FDA/EMA) Advanced proficiency in SAS programming; proficiency in R/Python for automation/tool development Knowledge of CDISC standards (SDTM/ADaM) and regulatory requirements (ICH guidelines) Hands-on experience with reusable macros/scripts to optimize processes and ensure reproducibility Familiarity with cloud-based platforms (e.g., AWS/Azure), AI/ML technologies, and data visualization tools Strong problem-solving skills focused on automation and scalability Excellent communication skills to convey complex technical concepts clearly to diverse stakeholders Your benefits and remuneration:Expected Pay Range:
$146,300/year to $234,100/year + benefits, annual bonus & equity (bonus and equity is variable and dependent on company and individual performance). Compensation for the role will depend on several factors, including responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
