Job Description

Accountable for growing profitable sales in polyurethane industry via the full sales process (identification, qualification, quote, close, development, and growth). Achieve sales targets for existing and new business. Lead and drive account plans, budgets, and forecasts to deliver the agreed strategic objectives of value and profit for the territory. Utilize C4C sales tools for timely call reports and lead tracking. Negotiate and manage pricing and contractual agreements with prospective and existing customers. Build and maintain strong relationships with engineers, buyers, and decision-makers at customer. Establish a high standard of market intelligence for elastomers market in the region, with particular focus on reviewing market share, product penetration, competitors' product portfolios, and competitors' positioning in the market. Effectively prepare and deliver sales presentations to upper management at customer and to internal commercial and technical groups. Coordinate with Customer Service, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Technical team members to deliver the service levels defined by the agreed-upon business strategy for accounts. Provide Technical Service Support, including product recommendations, prompt resolution of problems related to the use of our technology and products, processing support during customer trials, demonstration of the differentiation of company elastomers, and increasing the value of the company's business. Prepare efficient and effective project plans in order to establish a sound basis for developing new products or modifications to existing products/applications and/or to provide technical service to customers. Act as a technical liaison between customers and the company's Technology & Innovation team. Conduct laboratory work in order to develop new products and application technologies and/or to provide polyurethane technical service support that demonstrates the ability to effectively resolve a variety of moderately-complex technical service or product development/modification challenges in specialty polyurethane elastomers and polyurethane processing equipment. This includes preparation of polyol blends, isocyanate blends, and performance of small-scale chemical reactions on a bench, as well as operating internal laboratory equipment for formulation development or prototyping requests. All work must include well written, concise reports that are completed on time and that exhibit rigorous data analysis skills. Fully comply with all safety, health, and environment (EHS) guidelines, according to site and company standards. Ensure and enforce strict adherence to EHS company guidelines in all areas, including pilot plant, laboratory, and other tech facilities; customer facilities during trials; and external test laboratories during external tests.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Material Science, Polymer Science, or related and minimum 3 years of account management or technical sales experience in the polyurethane industry. Minimum of 3 years of professional technical experience in product and application development, and/or technical service in specialty polyurethane elastomers and polyurethane processing equipment.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
Up to 40% domestic travel and up to 10% international travel.
