Job Description

DUTIES The Computer Aide provides technical and instructional support to students and staff and assists with the day-to-day operation of district technology resources. Duties include, but are not limited to: Provide support to students and staff using Microsoft Office, Microsoft 365, and other district-approved software and applications. Assist users with password resets and account access. Troubleshoot computer and technology-related issues and submit support tickets or communicate with the Information Technology Services (ITS) Department as appropriate. Provide technical and software support to teachers during classroom instruction. Monitor the operation of copiers, printers, audiovisual equipment, and other technology-related equipment and request repairs as needed. Maintain accurate records of district technology inventory and equipment. Provide individual and small-group instruction to students on the use of computers, software, and other technology resources as needed. Assist with the ordering, organization, and maintenance of supplies and materials related to the Library Media Center (LMC) and ITS. Perform other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
High school diploma or equivalent and two years of experience in computer operations or a related technology field. Civil Service eligibility and residency requirements as applicable. Successful completion of required state and federal fingerprint-supported criminal history background checks. Demonstrated experience providing technology and computer support. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a positive, service-oriented attitude. Ability to work independently, prioritize responsibilities, and effectively support students and staff.
