Technology Support Assistant - Fall 2026 •
Please Note:
This position is open to students with a Federal Work Study award. Job Description The Student Technology Support Assistant provides front-line technology support to students, faculty, staff, and campus guests while working in both Technology Support locations: Baker Commons and Room 207. Responsibilities include: Answering Technology Support phone calls and assisting customers in person. Greeting and directing guests who Baker Commons. Assisting faculty, staff, and students with technology-related questions and issues. Helping users connect to the TC3 Wi-Fi network and access campus technology resources. Providing support for myTC3 services, including myInfo, myMail, and related account access questions. Imaging, deploying, configuring, and setting up computers for faculty, staff, computer labs, and smart classrooms. Troubleshooting and supporting desktop computers, printers, and other technology equipment. Responding to classroom technology support requests and assisting with smart classroom equipment. Delivering, setting up, testing, and supporting technology for campus events and special programs. Assisting with inventory management, equipment organization, and other Technology Support projects as assigned. Job Requirements Strong customer service and communication skills. Prior customer service experience is preferred but not required. Basic knowledge of Windows 10 and Windows 11 operating systems. Basic understanding of computer hardware, software installation, and troubleshooting techniques. Familiarity with printers, peripherals, and common technology devices is helpful. Ability to learn new technologies and follow technical procedures. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Reliable, professional, and dependable with strong attention to detail. Enrollment in, or interest in, Computer Information Systems (CIS), Computer Support Specialist (CSS), or a related technology field is beneficial but not required. Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate enjoys helping others, has a passion for technology, and is eager to develop technical and customer service skills while supporting the TC3 community.
Hourly Rate:
$16.00
