The Account Technical Leader (ATL) is the technical leader for the significant account(s) that oversee IBM's hybrid cloud, artificial intelligence, data, and transactional processing agendas at the client.
  • Your role and responsibilities
  • As an Account Technical Leader for IBM's Technology Portfolio, you will lead IBM's technical strategy and associated tactical engagements with clients, acting as a trusted IT architecture advisor on the entire IBM Technology Portfolio.
You will work closely with the client, Technology MD/Seller, and brand sales to define, document, and execute an IBM Client Technical Strategy (CTS) that is based on the client's business and technical challenges, strategies, and priorities.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
    Lead Technical Strategy Development:
    Develop and execute a comprehensive technical strategy for clients, incorporating IBM's Technology Portfolio, including Software and Infrastructure products.

    Clients and Stakeholders:
    Work closely with clients, Technology MD/Seller, and brand sales to understand business and technical challenges, strategies, and priorities, and develop a tailored IBM Client Technical Strategy (CTS).
      Provide Trusted Advisory Services:
      Act as a trusted IT architecture advisor, providing expert guidance on IBM's Technology Portfolio, including Data Platform, Automation Platform, Transaction Processing Platform, Hybrid Cloud Platform, Power, Storage, Cloud, TLS, and zHW.
        Execute Tactical Engagements:
        Lead and execute tactical engagements with clients, ensuring successful delivery of IBM's technical solutions and services.
          Document and Refine CTS:
          Document and refine the IBM Client Technical Strategy (CTS) based on client feedback, business outcomes, and technical advancements.
          • Required technical and professional expertise
          • Experience developing solution requirements and winning vital architectural decisions for clients
          • Technical Sales experience in one or more Federal sector areas with a strong understanding of their disciplines, cultures, and services
          • Experience designing, architecting, and implementing solutions, as well as leading architectural direction and cross-brand selling
          • Ability to build and maintain robust and trust-based business relationships with peers and customers at multiple levels.
          • Preferred technical and professional experience
          Technology Portfolio Familiarity:
          Experience with IBM's Technology Portfolio, including Software and Infrastructure products, is beneficial for this role. Knowledge of IBM's four Software Platforms, including Data Platform, Automation Platform, Transaction Processing Platform, and Hybrid Cloud Platform, is a plus. Familiarity with IBM's Infrastructure product portfolios, including Power, Storage, Cloud, TLS, and zHW, is also desirable.
            IT Architecture Advisory Skills:
            Experience providing trusted IT architecture advisory services to clients, incorporating expert guidance on IBM's Technology Portfolio, is advantageous for this position.
              Technical Strategy Development:
              Experience developing and executing comprehensive technical strategies for clients, aligning with their business and technical challenges, strategies, and priorities, is valuable for this role.
