This role is essential in providing exceptional customer service and driving sales in a retail environment, particularly within a grocery store setting. The ideal candidate will be fluent in both English and another language, enabling effective communication with a diverse customer base. Your ability to upsell products and handle cash transactions will contribute significantly to our store's success. Duties Engage with customers to understand their needs and provide tailored product recommendations. Utilize bilingual skills to communicate effectively with customers who speak different languages. Process cash transactions accurately and efficiently while maintaining cash handling protocols. Upsell products by highlighting features and benefits, enhancing the customer shopping experience. Maintain knowledge of current promotions, products, and services available in the store. Assist customers with inquiries and resolve any issues that may arise during their shopping experience. Ensure the sales floor is well-stocked, organized, and visually appealing to attract customers. Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and enhance overall store performance. Experience Previous experience in sales or customer service, particularly in a retail environment, is preferred. Bilingual proficiency is required; fluency in Spanish or another language is highly desirable. Strong communication skills with the ability to connect with customers from diverse backgrounds. Basic math skills for handling transactions and performing retail math calculations. Familiarity with grocery store operations is a plus but not mandatory. A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn are essential for success in this role.
