Job Duties:

 Develop Asset Performance Management (APM) application specific solutions for customers in the chemical and industrial process engineering industries. This is a client-facing position that requires leading value discovery customer sessions, assessing customer needs, and developing solutions and value proposition. Determine and understand prospective clients critical business issues in order to present and demonstrate AspenTechs software capabilities as the best possible solution to win the business by focusing on technical solutions, business value, and competitive differentiation. Build client specific solutions on the AspenTech platform using all the available tool options. Develop robust recommendations, proposals, and scope of work documents for AspenTech Consulting engagements while also identifying critical dependencies and gaps. Consult with customers, advise on the relevant AspenTech solutions and services, and establish a credible value proposition. Develop and execute sales campaigns and plans together with the sales teams. Work with the sales teams to identify and qualify business opportunities, identify key customer technical challenges, and develop solutions to meet the business needs. Proactively support pipeline development (e.g. marketing, account planning, awareness sessions, etc.) and sales execution in the assigned accounts and opportunities. The companys software products are used to design and optimize the operations of chemical and industrial manufacturing process plants. These include oil and gas assets, petroleum refineries, chemical plants, specialty drug manufacturers, and engineering and construction companies that optimize the plant designs. The required duties are complex and specialized and require a degree in Chemical Engineering or a closely related field in order to clearly comprehend complex chemical processes and their interrelation of the design and control of the machinery, software, and processes that control very large volumes of complex fluids, often in a super-heated state.

Minimum Education Requirement:

Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a closely related field.

Minimum Experience:

Requirement:

3 years of experience in a consultant, pre-sales, professional services consultant, or support role implementing process engineering or Asset Performance Management (APM) solutions for complex production systems using AspenTech solutions or other third-party equivalent solutions in the chemical processing, oil & gas refining, or other industrial manufacturing industry.

Special Requirements:

Any knowledge of Reliability Engineering and Data Science as applied to Reliability is required.

Travel Requirement:

Domestic and international travel required up to 20% of the time.
