Job Description

Technical Sales Representative Position Overview The Technical Sales Representative/Engineer is responsible for managing an assigned sales territory, developing new business opportunities, and providing technical support for industrial instrumentation and process measurement products. This role involves presenting product solutions, supporting customers with both pre
  • and post-sales guidance, and collaborating with internal and external partners to drive revenue growth.
The position is remote, but ideally based in Alabama with frequent customer visits. Key Responsibilities Identify and develop new business opportunities within the assigned territory. Conduct in-person sales visits, presentations, and product demonstrations. Build and maintain strong customer and principal relationships. Execute sales strategies to grow market share and achieve sales targets. Provide technical support before and after the sale. Manage a territory with regular travel to customer sites. Plan weekly schedules for prospecting, follow-ups, and account development. Collaborate with principal partners and internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of product lines, applications, and pricing. Monitor industry trends, competitors, and market conditions. Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and industry events. Prepare sales reports and territory updates for management. Participate in training, sales meetings, and development programs. Support customer or project-specific activities as required. Qualifications Excellent experience supporting customers & selling to any of the following markets: Chemical, Power Generation, Water & Wastewater, Metal & Glass, Paper, BioTech, Pharmaceutical, Food & Beverage Track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals. Experience with process measurement instrumentation, analytics, or data acquisition equipment is preferred. Strong technical aptitude with the ability to present and support complex products. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills. Strong presentation, negotiation, and closing abilities. Benefits Base salary of $70,000 to $80,000 ($130K
