Job Description

Overview This is not a job-- it is an opportunity to learn a self-employment business and ultimately take it over from a sole proprietor who is eyeing retirment in the second quarter of 2028. There are lots of ways for individuals, small businesses and not-for-profit organizations to get technology help. The problem is that most professionals who offer technology help are more interested in technology than they are in people. This is especially true for people who were born before 1970. These folks did not grow up with technology, yet they are forced to use it by a society that unapologetically demands facility with technology. It doesn't matter whether it's computers, printers, tablets, mobile phones, WiFi, Internet, Internet accounts, Internet security, TVs, streaming or anything else that depends on understanding of information processing logic in order to be a successful user. There is no buy-in or buy-out for this opportunity, just a passionate commitment to helping others to be more successful with technology. The successful candidate will likely be someone with teaching, tutoring or coaching experience in a conceptual field like music, foreign languages, mathematics or financial accounting who also demonstrates a conceptual understanding of technology or aptitude for learning technological concepts.
