Job Summary Provides direct customer support and technical assistance to technology users in schools and other MNPS facilities. Performs support tasks including hardware support for computers, printers, LCD projectors, and other ancillary technology hardware. Provides direct support to Windows and Apple (Mac OS and IOS) based devices. Installs miscellaneous software. Creates and updates automated records of work performed. This job requires daily ad hoc travel in personal vehicle. What you will do Promotes and supports the use of technology as an effective teaching and productivity tool supporting innovative thinking and problem solving. Advocates and models safe, legal and ethical use of digital information and technology, including respect for copyright, intellectual property, and the appropriate documentation of resources. Advocates compliance with all district information technology policies. Reports violations as required. Installs and configures end-user technology systems/equipment in accordance with standardized MNPS procedures. Triages user requests for assistance based on the impact to the teaching and learning process and various other factors. Documents repair actions and other customer assistance activities. Processes equipment requiring repairs or upgrades in concert with other MNPS IT Support activities. Applies troubleshooting techniques and resolves basic network problems. Conducts ad hoc user technology training. Supports the integration of technology into the curriculum. Education Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in technology or business field Required or Associate's Degree in technology or business field with two years of experience Required Licenses and CertificationsDL NUMBER
- Driver License, Valid and in State Valid Tennessee Driver's License Required Current Microsoft, Cisco, A+ or Network Plus certifications Preferred Equivalency One year of relevant experience may be substituted for each year of required education. For example, if a position requires a bachelor's degree and you have no college credits, you may substitute four years of relevant experience for the bachelor's degree.Starting At:
$29.83 Salaries are determined by factors relevant to the position which may include education, experience, and other qualifications. Final compensation decisions are made at the discretion of MNPS in alignment with organizational policies and procedures. The stated salary range for certificated teaching positions is calculated based on 201 days and should be viewed as a reference. All provided salary ranges serve as a general guideline.
