Job Description

Overview:
The Military Liaison/ Marketing and Sales Representative will be responsible for connecting customers with our products and services, understanding their needs and providing solutions to those needs. The Liaison will be the primary point of contact between MANCON and afloat and ashore commands in the Hampton Roads Area. The Liaison will promote the products that are available within the contract and will be expected to market to existing Commands as well as generate new business within the DOD community in the Hampton Roads Area. The Liaison will need to be familiar with the Military including their acronyms and ranks, customs and logistic requirements. This is an in-office, exempt position at MANCON's Servmart location at Naval Station Norfolk.
Responsibilities:
Drive sales through direct and indirect customer outreach Develop a strong understanding of the Servmart contract and the full range of offerings available to DoD customers Identify opportunities to expand Servmart's reach within the local DoD community Advise customers with relevant information that supports informed purchasing decisions for their commands Develop new business opportunities while strengthening engagement with existing customers Build strong, long-term relationships with DoD commands across Hampton Roads Conduct customer visits and networking efforts to promote contract awareness and customer engagement Coordinate meetings with key personnel across various commands and deliver sales presentations Maintain accurate records to meet reporting requirements Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Prior military experience with supply chain or logistics Working knowledge of DoD contracting processes including FAR and DFARS regulations Strong verbal and written communication skills Proven ability to build, develop, and maintain strong customer relationships Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Demonstrate initiative, professionalism, and a results-driven approach to achieving or exceeding sales goals Ability to obtain and maintain access to military installations, including successful completion of background checks and acquisition of required credentials (e.g., dBIDS) Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Willingness and ability to travel to various locations as needed
Physical Requirements:
Light work - Frequently exerting up to 20 pounds of force possibly using arm and/or leg control. Work is still primarily sedentary work with occasional walking and standing.
