Overview of the Infrastructure Support Associate The Infrastructure Support Associate provides entry-level computer operations and technology infrastructure support within BetaNXT's large-scale, multi-sysplex, multi-platform, 24x7x365 mainframe environment. Working under direct supervision, this role assists with successful batch processing, mainframe platform execution, LPAR IPLs, file deliverables, system monitoring, routine maintenance, troubleshooting, deployments, and documentation. The associate follows established procedures, escalates issues appropriately, and partners with team members to help maintain reliable operations, minimize disruptions, and support high system and service availability for customers. This position has no direct reports and is based in Brookfield, Wisconsin, with scheduled hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. CT, Sunday through Thursday. Duties and Responsibilities of the Infrastructure Support Associate Monitor and execute batch processing, file transfers, IPLs, and daily checks across multiple platforms, operating systems, and applications. Support mainframe platform operations, including LPAR IPLs, job restarts, JCL overrides, and related operational processes. Assist with troubleshooting hardware, software, network, system, and application issues, including executing trace routes and other standard troubleshooting steps. Monitor system health and performance, complete routine checks, and report irregularities for further investigation. Raise, manage, and document incidents in REMEDY and ServiceNow from start through resolution. Partner with infrastructure, application, and business teams to advance issues, support timely resolution, and minimize service disruptions within SLA objectives. Respond to system requests in a timely and accurate manner, escalating more complex matters as needed. Initiate internal Technical Recovery Team calls as needed to support service restoration. Generate status reports and maintain clear communication regarding operational activities, incidents, and daily responsibilities. Follow established procedures that support risk mitigation, security, compliance, and accurate documentation of infrastructure processes, configurations, and troubleshooting guides. Skills and Experience of the Infrastructure Support Associate Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 0-2 years of relevant experience in technology infrastructure, IT support, computer operations, or a related environment. Foundational knowledge of hardware, software, networking, file transfers, monitoring tools, and routine infrastructure support practices. Familiarity with IBM Mainframe z/OS operations, including JCL, job restarts, scheduling tools, TSO/SDSF/ISPF, IPLs, multi-LPAR environments, and HMCs. Ability to follow established procedures, document work accurately, communicate clearly, collaborate effectively, and escalate issues appropriately.
