Competitive Base Salary, Commission and Bonus Position Summary We are seeking a Sales Rep to join a growing manufacturer of custom industrial processing equipment. This position serves as the primary link between customers and internal engineering teams, helping identify customer needs and develop technical solutions that improve manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will possess a combination of relationship-building skills, and business development experience. This role is responsible for managing existing customer relationships while actively pursuing new business opportunities throughout assigned territories. Duties and Responsibilities Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing customers. Identify and pursue new business opportunities within manufacturing and industrial markets. Meet with customers to understand operational challenges and recommend equipment solutions. Prepare and present technical proposals, quotations, and product recommendations. Work closely with engineering, production, and project management teams to ensure customer requirements are met. Manage projects from initial inquiry through order fulfillment and installation. Conduct plant visits, site evaluations, and customer presentations. Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, opportunities, and forecasts within the CRM system. Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and customer meetings. Stay current on industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies. Qualifications 3+ years of experience in technical sales, industrial sales, manufacturing sales, or engineering-related customer-facing roles. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and industrial equipment. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents. Excellent communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills. Strong organizational and time management abilities. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM software. Ability to travel as needed to customer sites. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Consultative sales approach with a strong focus on customer solutions. Ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously. Strong mechanical aptitude and interest in industrial manufacturing environments.
