Job Description
Higher Wages Lower Rent Alliance is hiring On-Site Phone Bankers to join a progressive campaign in Los Angeles for the upcoming midterm elections . This role will involve making outbound calls to voters, speaking directly with community members, persuasion, and helping mobilize voters in support of progressive candidates and increased civic participation. Qualifications The Phone Banker position is an entry-level position. No prior phone banking experience is necessary. Successful applicants should have the following characteristics: Punctual and reliable Strong communication skills Comfortable speaking with people over the phone Energetic and enthusiastic Able to engage voters in conversations and follow a script Comfortable handling rejection and continuing to make calls Interested in voting, elections, and civic participation Comfortable working evenings and weekends Able to work on-site
Terms of Employment Pay:
$20.00 per hour Full-time position ONLY Must be comfortable making outbound calls to voters Must be able to work on-site Must be available to work evenings and weekends This is a temporary campaign position Phone bankers who demonstrate interest and leadership capacity may have opportunities for advancement into leadership positions on the campaign team We are an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer.
