Sandblaster

Overview Sandblasting technician is responsible for preparing surfaces by removing rust, paint, scale, and contaminants using abrasive blasting equipment. This role ensures materials are properly cleaned and profiled for painting, powder coating, or fabrication. Duties Operate sandblasting equipment (blast pots, hoses, nozzles.) Select proper abrasive media based on material and job requirements. Prepare surfaces by removing coatings, rust, and debris. Mask or protect areas that should not be blasted. Inspect finished surfaces to meet quality standards. Maintain blasting equipment and ensure proper operation. Follow all safety procedures, including use of PPE. Clean and organize work area after each job Working Conditions Exposure to dust, noise, and outdoor/ industrial enviroments. Requires use of respirators, blast hoods, and protective gear Standing, bending, and lifting for extended periods

From $17.00 per hour
