The Sanitation Readiness Specialist responsibilities include safely cleaning, sanitizing, inspecting, and reassembling automated production line equipment to support food safety and daily production readiness. This third-shift role works closely with sanitation, production, quality, and maintenance teams to ensure all equipment is properly cleaned, operational, and ready for startup. Don't wait! Shift:
Inquire about shift availabilityEssential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Follow all plant safety and lockout/tagout procedures.
- Disassemble and reassemble production equipment for cleaning.
- Clean and sanitize equipment and food contact surfaces.
- Protect non-wash-down equipment during sanitation procedures.
- Inspect equipment for damage, wear, or missing parts.
- Verify equipment is secure and ready for startup.
- Complete sanitation and inspection documentation accurately.
- Report equipment or sanitation concerns to leadership.
Job Requirements:
- Experience in food manufacturing or sanitation preferred.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and hand tool experience required.
- Knowledge of GMPs and food safety procedures preferred.
- Ability to follow written procedures and safety instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and teamwork skills required.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
- Comfortable working in wet, cold, and noisy environments.
- Ability to stand, climb, kneel, and perform physical work.
