Sanitation Worker

Position Overview:

The Sanitation Worker is responsible for performing essential waste collection and disposal duties to maintain cleanliness and sanitation throughout the Borough. This position works a 40-hour schedule, Monday through Friday, with overtime available as needed.

Compensation & Benefits:

Upon successful completion of the 90-day probationary period, the employee will be eligible for: Medical Benefits Membership in Teamsters Local 107 Union Life Insurance Coverage 457

Deferred Compensation Plan Pennsylvania Municipal Retirement Pension Plan Requirements:

Must successfully pass initial and random drug testing throughout employment. Must complete a criminal background check prior to or during employment. Must obtain a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) within 90 days of employment. Must be physically able to lift a minimum of 40 lbs. on a regular basis.

Work Environment:

This is a physically demanding, outdoor position requiring the ability to work in various weather conditions while ensuring the safety and sanitation needs of the Borough are met.
