SAW OPERATOR

This position is classified as full-time. The position involves rotating 1st and 2nd shift, 10-hour shifts, 5 days per week. Occasional weekends are needed. Pay Rate $19/Hour The Saw Operator position will assist as needed in the day-to-day operations of the bar finishing area. The position requires standing for long periods of time. Principal Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions) : Maintain and follow all applicable safety protocols Maintain material and bar location identifications Maintain strict quality assurance standards and performance Forklift operation Operation/control of band and plate saws Operation of measurement tools including micrometers, roundness gauges, and length measuring devices Manual operation of bar conditioning tools Must be able to operate in a constant state of alertness and safe manner at all times Excellent Quarterly Bonus program and benefit package including UPMC healthcare w/ HRA, disability, life insurance and 401(k)! Schedule:

10 hour shift Overtime High school diploma or equivalent required Prior manufacturing or machine operation experience preferred Ability to read and interpret work instructions, basic blueprints, and measuring tools Strong attention to detail with commitment to quality Ability to operate forklift Ability to lift to 50 lbs., bend, stand, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods Ability to work overtime, weekends, or shifts as needed
