is seeking motivated and dependable Scale Technicians to join our growing service division. This role involves traveling to customer sites to install, inspect, troubleshoot, repair, calibrate, and maintain a wide variety of scale systems and related equipment throughout the region. We are looking for individuals who enjoy hands-on work, problem solving, and working both independently and as part of a team. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with mechanical, electrical, construction, agricultural, or technical experience who want to build a long-term career in a specialized industry. No previous scale experience is required — we are willing to train motivated individuals with strong work ethic, positive attitude, and willingness to learn. Mechanical and/or electrical experience is preferred. What You'll Own Service & Repair Work Travel to customer sites in company-provided vehicles Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, calibrate, and test scale systems and related equipment Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues Install and replace components, hardware, and equipment Read and interpret manuals, schematics, and diagrams Complete service records, work orders, and documentation Customer Support Communicate professionally with customers on job sites Help ensure customers receive timely and reliable service Represent Prairie Scale Systems, Inc. in a professional manner Communicate with Service Manager on any immediate customer needs or scheduled follow-up Equipment & Safety Support Maintain company vehicles, tools, equipment, and PPE Follow company safety policies and procedures Support a positive and team-oriented work environment What We're Looking For Core Qualifications Strong work ethic and dependable attendance Positive attitude and willingness to learn Mechanical and problem-solving aptitude Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong communication and organizational skills Comfortable working in indoor and outdoor environments Ability to travel and stay overnight during the work week as needed CDL or willingness to obtain CDL (company training provided and pay incentives to obtain CDL) Preferred Qualifications Basic electrical or mechanical experience Experience in construction, agriculture, manufacturing, or industrial environments Experience using hand and power tools Basic computer and math skills Success in This Role Looks Like Customers receive timely and professional service Equipment is repaired, calibrated, and operating properly Work orders and documentation are completed accurately Safety procedures and company policies are consistently followed Team members can rely on you to step in and help wherever needed You continue developing leadership and project management skills over time Why Join Prairie Scale Systems?
